Chasing Pluto is Jamal Hadaway and Corinne Shields. With their eclectic tastes and contrasting backgrounds, the London based pair have breathed life into a new breed of Epic Pop music. It's an original style that transcends boundaries perfectly reflecting the Chasing Pluto ethic; "aim for the stars that way if you full short you will still be in the sky" - believe the impossible, chase your dreams and anything can happen.
Ironically the name, Chasing Pluto, came about from a dream and as if the planets aligned and it were destined to be, the vision began to take form.
The duo live by their name: constantly creating new and exciting music, and capturing their audience with catchy, beat driven songs. Jamal's massive productions, encompassing groove lead and synth based beats alongside Corinne's haunting vocals and bittersweet lyrical content has been attracting a continual and substantial amount of interest from bloggers and magazines alike. They've been named a modern day Eurythmics and even though the pair are as yet unsigned, Chasing Pluto music is already hitting the commercial realm; their latest remix of Labrinth's "Let the Sunshine" was championed by Radio 1's Annie Mac and Pete Tong amongst others and their previous remix of Jay Sean's "Down" was included as part of the Clubland compliation series which reached the # 1 spot in the compilations chart of Christmas 2009.
Chasing Pluto played their first set of live shows in 2010 headlining 93 Feet East and the renowned West London event, Yoyos at Notting Hill Arts Club. Their live sound and powerful stage presence is as prolific as their aptly self proclaimed Epic Pop music. The pair, always donning graphic sleek attire, can also be found rocking the decks with their driving, upbeat DJ sets at venues across the capital.
Chasing Pluto see 2011 as the window to an erray of new opportunity; their already strong online presence is forever strengthening, and the hard working pair will continue to live and breathe their ethic. It is their hope that the music they create can touch the hearts of all people, young and old and live on through generations to come.
The future for Chasing Pluto is an exciting one; with more dreams to chase and big things to come in 2011 the Chasing Pluto universe is unfolding exactly as it should.
The future belongs to those who BELIEVE.
